There is something so honest and wonderful about the way Steve looks at Rachel. . . and when they looked at each other as Rachel walked down the aisle in the intimate St. Anne Chapel in Grosse, Ile, MI, they were instantly connected. Rachel's dad gripped her arm as they walked toward Steve and I could see the emotion of the day start to well up on his face. This moment when Steve saw Rachel for the first time was a moment he and both families greatly anticipated! Steve and Rachel had dated each other since high school and this day was finally here and no one could contain their excitement!

In the most thoughtful and beautiful way, Rachel vowed to love and cherish Steve. Steve smiled as Rachel slide his wedding ring on his finger which, in turn, was too contagious for Rachel and she couldn't help but give a great big smile right back to him! Rachel held Steve's hand as they kneeled down at the alter. From that moment forward, their vows to one another and their marriage began. Excited claps, laughter, and cheers rang out as Steve pulled Rachel in for another kiss (3 of 3 that I caught!) and they exited the church to ring the church bell (as was tradition)!

After some truly epic portraits at Elizabeth Park, Rachel and Steve entered their reception at Silver Shores Waterfront in Wyandotte, MI ready to get the party started! Rachel and Steve also made sure to set aside some time for extra portraits at sunset! The light was so beautiful shining on the water and as it crept around boats and docks. As the sun set and all the colors of pink, purple, and blue were seen on the horizon, Steve pulled Rachel closer to him and, in only the way Steve can, he made her throw her head back and laugh. That was one of those things I really loved about Steve and Rachel: they made each other laugh, and they not only love each other, but they genuinely like each other!

Rachel and Steve - I want to thank you again for having me as your wedding photographer! I feel so honored and blessed to have been a witness to your love story and I wish you guys nothing but happiness, laughter, and crazy adventures together!
