My Favorite Things
As a creative professional, it is sometimes easy to get lost in the daily grind of business. The ability to travel is something that I love to do in my free time and why I work so hard.
For me, traveling to new places always refreshes my spirit and creativity so I do it at any opportunity I get! After I graduated from college, I took some time for myself and traveled here, to Oia, Santorini in the Greek Islands - and crossed one more thing off my bucket list!
In order for my business to stay focused on serving others, love, adventure, and artistic storytelling I need to build a happy life outside of my work which will always include travel!
We've been going steady for the past 5 years! We are a mixture of a creative, artsy goofy (Me) and an athletic, history nerd (Scott), and we love spending nights at home watching Netflix and cooking together! Scott also is my main photography assistant and second shooter and we love that we get to work and build a life together!
I fondly refer to Scott as a professional light model and dress fluffed on wedding days!
(He's really just my favorite to photograph!)
(and pancakes . . . and, well, any breakfast foods for that matter!) Breakfast (and second breakfast and elevensies) is my favorite time of the day because it always seems to bring people together. I have so many fond memories with my family around the kitchen in my pajamas trying to make the perfect pancake or from the comfort of my parent's squashy couch opening Christmas gifts and sipping hot coffee!
She is my fur-baby who inspired the CCP logo! I'm sure you'll see her around since she makes a cute little model.
And you can check out some of her adventures on Instagram #darcyrabbit.
Harry Potter is my fan club of choice. Always! (Here I am pictured at the coffee shop where J.K. Rowling wrote most of the first HP book in London!)
I have read all of the books more times than I've kept track of and can occasionally be found listening to them on audio book while cleaning or driving to a destination wedding!
My favorite writer/directors are John Hughes (Sixteen Candles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Maid in Manhattan) and Nancy Myers (The Holiday, The Parent Trap, Something's Gotta Give) and as a kid I wanted to grow up and work in the movie industry!
Non-linear narratives and relational movies tend to draw me in more than others (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Inception, Pulp Fiction, Why Did We Get Married, Urban Cowboy, Parenthood), but I also can't say no to Disney or my absolute favorite movie, Some Like It Hot!
