Garden Engagement on the MSU Campus, East Lansing, MI | Victoria + KM
Victoria & KM’s Garden Engagement
Session on the MSU Campus in East Lansing, MI
Victoria and KM’s love story is truly an international adventure story! They first met back in 2014 while they were both living & working in the Virgin Islands; Victoria as a marine & environmental science masters student and KM as a carpenter. They met through mutual friends at a dodge ball game and after that they kept running into each other until they eventually became a couple! KM is from Denmark and when he went back to finish his degree in construction engineering, Victoria decided to move to Denmark, too! Over the next five years together, these two bounced back and forth between the US, Denmark, and the Seychelles in East Africa! Like I said, a truly international love story full of adventure!!
I am always incredibly humbled and so honored when ANY couple chooses me to be their engagement & wedding photographer, but it feels just a bit more so when that couple is also FAMILY!! Victoria is actually my cousin (we’re only 5 months apart in age so we were best buddies at all the family things growing up!)!
When Victoria & KM were in town (in 2020 they returned to live & work in St. Thomas, the Virgin Islands where their story began!), for just a couple weeks, we had the most beautiful weather for their fall engagement session! It was sunny and cool, but not chilly and the Beal Botanical Gardens on the MSU Campus had so much gorgeous greenery still (which is typically strange for a late October session). They also brought along their adorable family dog, Newton, who is a Bernese Mountain Dog, for a few portraits!
Victoria and KM are such a fun couple and I love how much their personalities came through in all of these photos!
Congrats, again, Victoria and KM!! I can’t wait to capture your wedding day next year!
Love,
Courtney
I hope you enjoy some of my absolute favorite images from Victoria & KM’s garden engagement session on the Michigan State University campus!
