Stephanie + Paul’s Whimsical,

English Garden Inspired Wedding at the

Taylor Conservatory & Botanical Gardens in Taylor, MI

Stephanie & Paul's wedding day truly was a fairytale! The ceremony took place tucked in amongst the charming botanical gardens of the Taylor Conservatory in Taylor, MI, and the tented reception spaces were draped with romantic string lights on the property. Stephanie and Paul’s day felt classic, with all the beautiful florals and it had some serious english garden vibes, but it also felt very whimsical with all the personal decor they incorporated throughout the reception & ceremony!

Stephanie told me early on in the planning process that they envisioned a day with lots of laughter & dancing with touches of tradition mixed in with an Alice in Wonderland, Matter Hatter vibe! How fun! These two infused a ton of personality into their big celebration, and one of the most unique ideas was a dried herb petal toss! A table was set up so that Stephanie & Paul’s guests could choose different combinations of dried herbs & flowers, each with their own significance, to add to a flower cone for their petal toss at their grand entrance to the reception!

It, honestly, reminded me of that quote from Practical Magic about how you should always keep rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for luck, and fall in love whenever you can! Stephanie and Paul had over 10 different kinds of florals to choose from with one example being dried peony petals, which represented a guest’s hope for a “bashfully happy marriage.” This dried herb & petal toss was really something I think their guests enjoyed and it was just such a unique twist on a traditional petal toss!

Stephanie, with the help of her Mom, designed all the flower arrangements and decor and their attention to detail was truly amazing! They had unique vintage china patterns at every place setting along with wooden napkin rings and center piece bases that Paul made himself. They also paid a lot of attention to the comfort of their guests and made sure every one was well taken care of with small gestures and the emotional toasts from the Bride’s parents drove home just home much these two are loved by their family & friends!

Everything was wonderfully magical and perfect! Congrats, again, Stephanie and Paul!!

Love,

Courtney

I hope you enjoy some of my absolute favorite images from Stephanie & Paul’s wedding day!
