Wedding Day at the Royal Oak Music Theatre
I am so excited to share some of my absolute favorite images from my first wedding of 2020! Chelsey and Joe’s wedding day was such a special day that was filled with countless moments that turned from hilarious to absolutely touching and tearful. Chelsey prepared to meet her groom, Joe, at her parents home and had a special request for photos with her adorable pug, Phoebe, and she also wanted to make sure I got a few photos of her bridal details, especially her Louboutin shoes which she purchased in New York! Those red soled shoes (and all her other details for that matter!) gave me all the heart eyes.
Before Chelsey even began her walk down the aisle, Joe was suddenly overwhelmed with emotion . . . at just the anticipation of seeing his gorgeous bride! He had the sweetest reaction as Chelsey walked down the aisle and the tears glistened in not only his eyes, but in the majority of their friends and family in attendance.
Chelsey and Joe dreamed of having a fairytale winter wedding day and had visions of snow floating through the air for their February nuptials. Leave it up to Michigan to throw a curve ball, though, and make it a sunny 45 degrees! Thankfully, the week before it had snowed and I was able to find an amazing location within the woods that still had beautiful white snow glistening on the ground for all their romantic portraits.
The marquee of the Royal Oak Music Theatre welcomed guests and the new Mr. & Mrs. with the words, “It was always you, Chelsey & Joe” and the inside of the theatre was decked out in some impressive mood lighting! Chelsey & Joe shared some personal handwritten vows to each other before dinner and dancing began, and we ended the night with some epic portraits around the music theatre (make sure you scroll all the way to the end for those ones - I promise they’re worth it!)!
