Wedding Day at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church
Abby and Felipe, like so many couples during the pandemic, had grand plans for their wedding day that had to be postponed. Abby and Felipe decided to keep their original wedding date in 2021, get officially married in front of their immediate families, and then planned to re-commit their marriage vows and have a big reception with extended family & friends later in 2022.
There was something so intimate and romantic about Abby & Felipe’s micro (or tiny) wedding day and the energy, to me, felt like a wedding my grandparents probably experienced after the depression; not a lot of fanfare, with just a simple, but beautiful commitment ceremony. Abby’s gorgeous lace dress and faux fur shawl along with the pops of red flowers in her bouquet, even felt vintage-inspired to me! I wanted to capture that feeling through my photography, and I made sure to focus on all the simple, candid moments that happened and to capture romantic portraits of the bride & groom afterwards!
